The EV revolution continues to gain strength in Australia, meaning we are now approaching the tipping point where we'll see a wide selection of EV products heading downunder. It goes without saying, over the next 2 to 3 years everyone will become familiar with the Electric Vehicle market across many industries which is being propelled by growing international calling for the reduction of emissions. It's also being backed up by huge strides in the development of electric motor, battery efficiency, and recharging infrastructure technologies. As mentioned, this direction is largely a result of the need to reduce emissions, which is critically important. The other positive to this is, EVs are opening up in technologies that will provide the user experience with so many more benefits.

Yes, there are a few other EV dedicated websites reporting on the electric vehicle industry, however, EV101's goal is to create a platform that not only reviews all EV products but provides insight for everyone on the benefits of EV's and other "E" products and services coming onto the market such as, e- bikes, e-motorbikes ( yes I’m also a motorbike & MTB rider ), short “how to” videos, industry training news and industry jobs.

MY EV STORY
Electric vehicles have fascinated me for years, shaped by my extensive experience in the automotive industry—from technician roles to management positions in both retail and wholesale.
​
During my tenure with the FCAI taskforce from 2009 to 2013, I contributed to crafting a roadmap for the impending arrival of plug-in EVs in Australia, a pivotal moment in our industry's evolution.
​
I vividly recall the early days of working with EVs when battery technology was in its experimental phase, and skepticism surrounded their viability. Fast forward a decade, and we witness EVs cruising up to 500 kilometers on a single charge, with rapid charging capabilities redefining convenience.
​
My journey with EVs, coupled with industry planning and years of research, convinces me that Australia's automotive sector is on the cusp of a revolutionary shift towards EVs.
​
The genesis of EV101 dawned on me during a recent interstate EV road trip, peppered with inquiries from curious onlookers eager to learn about the EV experience. Questions about driving dynamics, charging logistics, costs, and maintenance underscored a widespread curiosity about EVs.
​
Realizing the gap in public understanding of EVs and related products, I embarked on creating EV101—a platform aimed at demystifying EVs and fostering informed decisions.
​
With EV101, I envision bridging knowledge gaps and empowering individuals to embrace the EV revolution. It's a journey I'm excited to embark on, and I look forward to the enriching experiences it will bring.
