Energica, known for its sport-inspired electric motorcycles that offer all three levels of charging speeds, has just unveiled its newest model known as the Energica Experia Green Tourer. The comfort-oriented electric motorcycle combines a large battery with fast charging to create a bike that can go the distance and then keep on going.
In fact, Energica claims that the new model has the longest range of any electric motorcycle. The company boasts a city range of 420 km and a highway range of 209 km.
The all-electric Experia uses a large 22.5 kWh maximum-rated battery (19.6 kWh usable) to reach such impressive ranges, and combines that battery with DC Fast Charging capability along with Levels 1 and 2 charging (home wall charging and EVSE-style public charging stations).
That long range makes the Energica Experia “the most nimble and maneuverable machine Energica has ever made, allowing riders to tap into their wanderlust by offering the longest range of any electric motorcycle on the market,” according to Energica.
How is the look of the bike?
Talking about the design, the bike is built on a tubular-steel trellis frame. It gets a large fuel tank with an attractive front look, handlebars with heated grips for a comfortable ride in winters, a bash plate, and dual projector LED headlights. It also gets split-type seats, raised windscreen to avoid wind at high speeds, and a digital instrument cluster. The bike is seen with dual tone paint and 17-inch cast aluminum wheels.
The bike will come with these features
Keeping in mind the safety of the rider, the Energica Xperia will get disc brakes at both the front and rear wheels. Also, it has been given a dual-channel antilock braking system (ABS) to provide better handling on the roads. Keeping in mind the suspension of the electric bike, it has been given 43mm ZF inverted forks at the front and an adjustable ZF mono-shock unit at the rear. It also has several riding modes.
When will it be available and how much will it cost
Energica says it should be available in Spring this year, starting at €25,590 + VAT or about $38,600AUD + ORC. The Experia is available for pre-order at this time via its website but there is no news if it’s Aus compliant. In a press release, Energica said the Experia will be available to order on the 1st of June 2022 at all Energica stores worldwide.
